Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo Association's founder and visionary, Eihachi Ota Sensei. Born and raised in Okinawa, Ota Sensei has dedicated his entire life to the practice of traditional, Okinawan Karate.  In 2016, Ota Sensei was honoured by his Okinawan colleagues and was awarded his 10th dan;  the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a student of Karate.  Ota Sensei's teachings and career have been followed over the years very closely by thousands of people all over the world.  Below is a great documentary in which Ota Sensei talks about his upbringing and his humble Karate beginnings.

Ota Sensei's technique focuses on maximum power and resonance.  His use of core strength to generate this power also transfers into his use of Okinawa weapons, such as the bo - as seen in the video below.
