September 2019 – Eihachi Ota Seminar

Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu Karate & Kobudo  Eihachi Ota Seminar

Sept. 27-29, 2019 will long be remembered at our Oshawa dojo as one of the finest karate seminars we have held!

Our Head Okinawan Sensei Eihachi Ota (10th Dan Hanshi) from California taught three days of seminars and presided over a Shodan and five Jr. Shodan black belt promotional tests as the main feature on Saturday afternoon, followed by various Kobudo and open hand kata demonstrations!  Family and friends were not only treated to skillful demonstrations but after, were feted with food and refreshments and a wonderful time was had by all.

Over 30 students on both Friday night and Saturday received training and direction under the watchful eye of Sensei Ota while the Sunday advanced class, consisted of 16 black and brown belts!

A big thank you to all students and instructors for supporting such a wonderful endeavour and supporting our growing dojo!  To all the parents and family members in attendance, a big thanks for the pot luck food items you contributed!

It was very much appreciated and was so good!

Thank you Sensei Ota for you visit and for sharing your knowledge - see you in June!
